Free Whois Protection

WebhostGIANT will now include Free Whois Protection (ID Protection) on almost all domain names extensions we now sell. This service was billed at $7.95/year before and was an additional fee on top of the domain name fees. While almost all Registrars are still carrying this fee, to include Godaddy and Network Solutions, WebhostGIANT will now protect your privacy for free. We feel the right to privacy should not be a billable hidden fee. So buy a domain name from WebhostGIANT at $8.95 per year and get the domain and ID Protection. Buy a domain name from Godaddy and pay almost $11.00/year for the name PLUS $6.95 for privacy.

WebhostGIANT Now Offers Virtual Private Servers

WebhostGIANT is pleased to announce we now offer our own fully-managed VPS offerings to our growing customer base. In the past all VPS requirements were handled by our parent company www.WebIntellects.com. WebIntellects was one of the first VPS providers in the world launching their offerings back in 2000. WebhostGIANT will now be able to capitalize on the years of experience of our parent company now offer low-priced Virtual Private Servers directly. All VPS Plans will include fully-managed hosting, complete VPS backups, plus more RAM and Space allowances then our competition. We will even offer "Build Your Own" plans for those that have more specific requirements.

WebhostGIANT Has Moved!

Currently the AIS Scranton Datacenter has been home to WebhostGIANT for over 5 years now. Last year AIS opened their newest, state-of-the-art Lightwave Datacenter in San Diego that has a few advantages over the Scranton DC. Some of which are more room, more power, and better options for enterprise services. This move will also allow WebhostGIANT to add to its offering - clustered servers, advanced load balancing services (to eventually include geographical load balancing) and even better firewall filtering. We are excited about the upgrade we are making and we know our clients will too.

cPanel Servers Now Offered

WebhostGIANT is pleased to announce our newest shared hosting offering - cPanel powered servers! Today WebhostGIANT released shared hosting plans that use cPanel for web hosting account management. We now offer two choices in control panels. The traditional Plesk GUI and now the ever-popular cPanel GUI.

New Account Management and Support Software Online

We are pleased to announce the completion and live implementation of the new Account Management and Support software. This new release will correct all the past issue clients had with our old system. The new system is much more robust and has a more powerful client-side management feature set. It has also been integrated with our support system for seamless use from one login.

Usernames and passwords will remain the same. All the new login locations have been updated on the WebhostGIANT website.

This means that if you find another hosting plan similar to ours that offers more space or more bandwidth, we will not only match it, but we will double it! WebhostGIANT Drops All Setup Fees

Today WebhostGIANT has decided to drop all Setup Fees on all our hosting plans. Since setup is basically automated we felt there was no need to charge these rates anymore. While many host still charge Setup Fees to get some extra cash out of customers, we felt it was time to save our customers even more money. And as usual, we still do not have ANY Hidden Fees. Many host offer low teaser rates on their website and only when you go to check out online do you notice the rates were for a few years of service. Should you decide to only host monthly, they have much higher rates and hidden setup cost. We believe this to be simply dishonest. All the prices you see on our website will be what you see when you go to pay.

Multiple Site Hosting Plans Launched

WebhostGIANT has released multiple site hosting to accommodate those personal users or webmasters with more then one site needing a convenient location to host and manage those sites. Starting at $9.95 per month, you can host multiple, full featured websites for the price most places charge to host a single site. All sites hosted under our multiple site plans are totally separate websites with isolated directories, users, and space. We do not use redirections to host the multiple sites like many of our competitors do.

Today, after almost two years of planning, WebIntellects, Inc. launched WebhostGIANT; their low-cost, shared hosting solution. Realizing there was a large gap between the basic low-spec hosting offering that many providers now offer and the traditionally expensive hosting solutions, WebhostGIANT was born to fill that void. Capitalizing on the vast amount of resources and experience that WebIntellects can deliver, WebhostGIANT will be able to sustain low priced offerings where others have or will fail. This will give our customers the reassurance that they can get a low-cost offering without fear of the doors being closed by their provider a few months later.
